Teaming up with Illinois Action for Children, Open Books invites all North Lawndale families to join us in celebrating the official launch of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Chicago! Come learn more about the program, register your child in person, and enjoy:
- free book and toy giveaways
- face-painting
- a special Storytime reading featuring authors Veronica Appleton, Corey D. Williams and former Chicago Bears player Israel Idonije!
Community organizations such as the North Lawndale Employment Network, the Chicago Public Library, and Turning the Page will also be at the event with information about the resources they offer. We hope to see you there!
