So you want to be a writer…but you don’t know how to get there?
Being a published author takes discipline, risk, and the occasional demonstration in sword fighting. Open Books Publishing Academy is the perfect place to take you from aspiring writer to published author. In our new year-long model, writers will join us for a 3-week intensive in July, followed by monthly workshops on the second Saturday of the month, from August through April. Through this process, you will write a full-length novel with the guidance of teachers and volunteer writing coaches, consult industry professionals about the design and publication of your novel, hear first-hand advice from other published authors, and foster peer relationships with other writers.
At the end of this journey, your novel will be debuted at a Publishing Academy book launch, where we will roll out the red carpet in the Open Books store, toast to our accomplishments, and sign autographs.
Secure your spot and become the next great author!
