Teacher’s Day at Open Books Pilsen

Join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a special Teacher’s Day at Open Books Pilsen! Come out with your teacher friends for an afternoon of food, drinks, networking, and resource sharing focused on supporting ELL students. We will discuss how your students (and you!) navigate barriers to accessing resources, and how you can best support your students in overcoming them.
Our panel discussion will be joined by Liliana Diaz, Speech-Language Pathologist and Founder & Owner of Bilingual Speechie and Brenda Robertson, Director of Education Programs at Reading in Motion – Spanish Literacy Program.
Our friends at Instituto del Progreso Latino’s Career Pathwayswill be there with a table of helpful resources for educators. Attendees will also get free books for their classroom library and have a chance to win Open Books merch!
