THE PERFECT EVENT FOR PRE-K THROUGH 1ST GRADERS!
Join us Saturday, December 15 at Open Books Pilsen (905 W 19th St.) from 11 am – 12 noon for a very special Winter Wonderland Storytime! We will be reading snowy classics and fun new winter books! There will also be winter-themed holiday sing-a-longs with a guitar accompaniment as well as fun arts and crafts for kids to take home! Reserve a spot for your family now and come celebrate the holidays with us!
We will be discussing Hope Larson’s graphic novel adaptation of Madeleine L’Engle’s A Wrinkle in Time. Along with the discussion, we will be looking at, touching, and examining works of art that are thematically relevant to the story. This includes exploring dimensionality through interaction with 3D printed/laser cut reproductions of museum objects. There will also be a sculpture making activity inspired by the protagonists travels through the 5th dimension.
